Meet the Owner and Instructor
Wendy Alexander, OTD, OTR/L, is the Owner and Lead Instructor of Pediatric Feeding Essentials™. With more than 25 years of experience, she has supported children and families across early intervention, home health, autism programming, and school-based evaluation. Wendy earned her master’s degree from Pacific University and later completed her Post-Professional Doctorate in Occupational Therapy, where her capstone examined the essential role of OTs in pediatric feeding intervention.
Throughout her career, Wendy has been committed to responsive feeding, trauma-informed practice, interdisciplinary collaboration, and strengthening family–child connection around mealtimes. She founded the Feeding Division at About Kids Home Health and created Pediatric Feeding Essentials™ to fill the gap in high-quality training and mentorship for therapists who want deeper clinical reasoning skills and practical strategies they can apply immediately.
Outside of teaching, Wendy enjoys being a mom to her two children, practicing hot yoga, dancing, boat-surfing, and traveling—bringing joy, curiosity, and gratitude to both her life and her work.
